The Checktag® is a development of the Checktorque operational concept as a wheel and wheel nut retorque required indicator. The use of the Checktag® system facilitates the recording of necessary information, at the point of service, being available to the subsequent service provider delivering the safety-critical retorque, remote from the original point of service.

The Checktag® operational concept is designed for use by tyre service providers and the larger fleet managements, particularly those operating national or international services where the tyre management procedure requires that all phases of the tyre safe running management is recorded.

The provision of a self adhesive label attached to the Checktag® facilitates the recording and completion of the procedure.

We have researched and evaluated a self adhesive label system, which we do provide. The material is a polyester that can be printed and written on, the adhesive is a high performance Poly-elastomer that gives excellent adhesion to the substrate.

The use of the labelleled Checktag® eliminates the reliance on the hand over of information or the accuracy of memory.

The standard colour of Checktag® is Red.

The use of Checktag® is supplementary to, and not a replacement of, sound existing workshop and tyre management and safety procedures.

The incorporation of the labelled Checktag® into the established Tyre and Risk Management procedures can help ensure that the vital retorque of the correct wheel is not missed and the required written record and documentation is completed.
